For those who suffer more severely, there are prescription medications that can be taken, steroid nasal sprays and even something called nasal douching. While some may prefer to see a doctor for their allergies, there are more natural ways in which you can cope with allergies. Here is a list we came up with for those looking for alternative methods:

- Keep your animals well-groomed. Studies shown either purchasing a short-haired animal or regularly bathing your animal will help keep the animal dander down.
- Keep pets outside can also reduce the amount of animal dander you experience in your home.
- Remove any mold from your home and take the steps to prevent mold from forming. Mold is not only something that can cause allergy issues but can be extremely harmful if left untreated.
